Henry Christopher Prince was born at North Sydney on 1 February 1919.  Henry was the oldest of the four children and only son of Henry Prince and Violet Manning Webb, the grandson of Christopher Henry (Chris) Webb and Ellen Eliza (Nellie) Rogers and great-grandson of William Webb Wagg and Sarah Turner. Henry married Elaine Athelstan Druitt on 19 August 1944 at Northbridge.  He enlisted in the airforce during the Second World War after his marriage.  Thanks to his son, John, for sharing this photo of Henry on ancestry.com.au.   Henry and Elaine had three children - John, Christine and Ann.  He died at Windsor on 11 May 1987.  Elaine died on 22 April 2010 at Castle Hill. Please feel free to share any comments or photos of Henry and Elaine with your other Webb Wagg cousins on the centenary of Henry's birth.

Most days I review the "significant events" that have happened around that date on my ever growing family history data base!  Today was the day to take a closer look at Oliver William Trickett.... Oliver will be know to some of our cousins as he married Shirley Prince in 1955 in North Sydney.  Shirley was the daughter of Violet Manning Prince (nee Webb),  grand-daughter of Chris Webb and great-granddaughter of William Webb Wagg and his wife Sarah Turner.   Here's a pedigree chart for Shirley from my tree on ancestry.com.au. Sarah Webb (nee Turner's) sister, Jane, married John Trickett.  We know that the Webb Wagg and Trickett families were close.  Their children were baptised on the same day at St Thomas's North Sydney many times, Webb Waggs are informants on Trickett death registrations and vice versa and, as in this case, witnesses at marriages.  Here's the parish register from Christ Church Lavender Bay.  It records the wedding ...

We all know him as "Chris Webb" but Henry Christopher Wagg was born on 17 October 1866 at Blues Point, NSW.  While all the Webb Wagg and Trickett boys were great sailors, Chris was the greatest of them all! Thank you to "Arncliffejack" who s hared this on ancestry.com.au on  12 September 2015 Some details of Chris's family life will be followed by the words on his life and sailing achievements from  The Australian Dictionary of Biography. In 1892, Chris married Ellen Eliza (Nellie) Rogers at Redfern.  Nellie was born on 19 November 1873 in Redfern.  Her mother was Annie Eliza Rogers.  Her birth registration doesn't record the name of her father (NSW 5106/1873).  Thank you to "James Andrew Hudd"who shared this on ancestry.com.au on 04 June 2015 Chris and Nellie had 3 daughters- Violet Manning (Vi) was born in 1893 in Sydney and died on 31 January 1978 in Nort...
